Gentlemen,

Welcome to the 2013 lacrosse season! The rest of the coaching staff and I are very much looking forward to taking the field with you all tomorrow. The snow melted just in time.  

I have attached some important reminders and logistics notes below that should help us start out on the right foot below. This email also contains a few assignments that will be due by Tuesday before practice start. If you have any questions please let me know.

Practice Times / What to Bring: Will remain as originally communicated thanks to the great weather. Check-in will begin at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow at the Washburn High School football field. Practice will run from 6:30 p.m to 8:30 p.m. Full equipment is required (including a mouth guard). Also please bring sweatpants and a sweatshirt to wear underneath your jerseys as well as both cleats and tennis shoes. You will all be assigned temporary try-out jerseys with unique numbers that will help the coaches with evaluations.

Emails / Communication: Most if not all emails from me will be directed at you and not your parents. Your parents have been copied in but may not be in the future. We expect you to check your email and be informed with what is going on. We expect you to communicate with the coaching staff on all questions including schedule and logistics concerns. When important team emails go out we usually send out a text message alert through a system call Athleon. It is very important that you register on the Athleon site (instructions below),  update your cell phone numbers and edit your settings so that you can receive texts when they go out.

Online Player Interviews: Are required before being placed on any team. There are about 30 questions Please set out at least an hour to put into this. It is incredibly helpful to your coaches and will help you as well. Please treat this like you would a job interview or school entrance interview.  Write in full sentences wherever possible. Athleon Team System: Each of you wil receive a separate email inviting you to join the system. Once registered you may go into your settings to add your cell phone number and set preferences on what kind of notifications you would like to receive.
