The owners of the Dundas Dome intended for it to benefit local kids. A little more than three months after it got inflated, the dome is doing exactly that in more ways than one.
Spring sports teams like softball and lacrosse are getting a much earlier start on activities with time in the dome. Softball players from Northfield have played in an eight-team league at the dome since the first Sunday in January. The teams play two 55-minute games each Sunday. The league started Jan. 8 and will wrap up March 12.
